X Comment Filter & Blocker is a browser extension that filters spam comments on X (Twitter) and helps users block spam accounts in bulk. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

We do NOT collect any personal data.

• We do not collect, store, or transmit any user information to external servers.
• We do not track your browsing activity.
• We do not use analytics services or third-party trackers.
• We do not access your X (Twitter) login credentials.

Local Data Storage

The extension stores the following data locally on your device using chrome.storage.local:

• Keywords list — The filter keywords you configure.
• Blocked users list — Records of users you have blocked through the extension (username, display name, timestamp).
• Settings — Your extension preferences (auto-scan, case sensitivity, etc.).

All data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage and is never transmitted to any external server.

Network Requests

When you click "Block Selected", the extension performs block operations on X (Twitter) using your existing authenticated session. This is equivalent to manually clicking the block button for each account.

No data is sent to any third-party server. All operations happen directly between your browser and X's servers.

Permissions

• storage — To save your keywords, blocked users list, and settings locally.
• host_permissions (x.com, twitter.com) — To inject the content script that scans comments and performs block operations.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party services or SDKs.
